Having a light weight body with rigid D- shaped shells that are made of carbon fiber; this bass guitar is absolutely non-conventional. The carbon telegraph fibers give out a crisp and warm sound creating a symphonic harmony. Geoff Gould (the creator) found modular graphite to replace wood used in the neck. This electric guitar by Modulus uses graphite, making the neck as well the bass guitar reliable and moisture resistant. I have a thing for the modulae
I have a fretless 4 string modulus already. I needed a 5 string, with frets. Of course, therefore, I needed a modulus. Known for the graphite necks, straight forever, in tune forever. Rich tone in the upper ranges, precision instrument, valuable tool. I'm a happy camper. I have ordered the La Bella black nylon flat wound strings for mine. This will be my SALSA machine soon.

Love me some Modulus Q5
This Modulus Q5 was everything I had hoped for. 1999 was the year this bass was made, but it and the case it came in was primo! Total pro bass!

Modulus Rules
Best years 1998 truss rod introduced to 2000. No compression dead on 0, clear, clean piano tone because of graphite neck. The best IMO I've ever played.
