It Took Some Time
It took me a while to go from hating it to loving it. The problems were 1. a touchy volume control, and 2. terrible hum. To come to terms with the volume control, I had to stop trying to run my guitar up in the high numbers. Now I turn the amp volume up to 3 or 4 and have the guitar set at 2 or 3. Once the amp colume control gets passed 2 or 2 1/2, the touchyness goes away and it behaves normally. But the guitar has to be set low to live with the amp setting. The Humm went away when I plugged my effects box chain into the effects loop. The amp itself has a wonderful tone. I usually play clean so I really appreciate the sound of it. I rated it 4 stars because of the accommodations that must be made for the volume control. Really shouldn't be like that. But it's a great amp. Very powerful, great tone and light weight.
