I purchased this broken guitar because it was inexpensive and gave me an opportunity to improve my wood working skills -- I designed a new head stock, made and installed it as well as converting the bridge, saddle and a new nut to left handed --- good feel, nice rich tone, maybe a little large for everyday play, but great outcome.

This Epiphone PR-150 is a good beginner guitar. I was able to get the action very close by correcting a neck bow with the adjustable rod and a little sanding on the saddle. It will be an easy playing instrument which will help the beginner to remain interested in playing. Addition of a Graf-tech Saddle will improve the sound quality of this instrument. I bought this one as a gift for a friend. The finish quality and wood used are good for an instrument of this price range. The sound it produces is good but it lacks some bass, with the light gauge strings I put on. This Guitar is well above average for instruments I have seen in this price range. I think anyone on a budget or beginning to play would be happy with one of these Epiphones.
Really nice guitar. It is a joy to play.

I sold a great Taylor guitar to a friend who could really play it, but needed a less expensive one to "fool around" with. This Epiphone PR-150 fit the bill. With a new set of Martin light strings it sounds great. Good buy!
scaling is inacturate and machine slip. needs work.
