made my Fender Blues Jr. rock hard!
I got a FBJ on ebay with an upgraded Weber speaker already installed. Even though that speaker is supposed to be much better than the stock speaker, i was still disappointed with the sound of the FBJ. Very flat.. boxy sound that lacked mids and highs. The high and mid tone controls did very little to boost those rages. I usually play through my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe which has awesome clean tones and great drive tones and takes pedals very well. Now that i have installed these mods the FBJ sounds SO MUCH BETTER! Not boxy at all with much better highs and mids. The tone controls add and subtract as you would expect.. the gain is awesome now! The overall sound is much more like an expensive boutique amp. Still doesn't have the cleans of my Deluxe but hey... it is what it is and it's a heck of a lot better. If you crank this puppy, it sounds like ZZTOP..huge! for such a little amp...it's now a beast!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great product very easy to install
This product is simple and great. It is so great that the later models already incorporate this idea. It is great that someone figured out what Fender did wrong and corrected it. The installation is so easy. You don't have to take the knobs off. This simply slides over the original lettering after loosening the mounting screws. Instructions are simple and easy to understand. Improved tone
I am certain these guys did a fair amount of research in order to perfect the desired out come of their efforts. I was able to follow the instructions easily, took a little more time to complete everything...should have looked at my newly purchased jr. For which I purchased the mod kit for ,because after I started the procedure I soon realized that some of the mods had been installed by its previous owner(s) ...only needed filter caps and some of the other minor tone caps swapped out. I learned a good lesson and gained confidence and experience with working on my first circuit board amp chassis. Look closely at Your equipment and only order components you need to swap out...you will save a bit of money that way...so my only regret was my own mistake...mods did all that was said they would do...p.s. Give the amp some burn in time before you make up your mind about any improvements in tone, mine sounded better after a few hours of play time.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great Addition to your Fender Blues Junior
I received my Control Panel Overlay about a week ago and installed it, and It is the BEST addition to your Blues Jr that you can do so inexpensively. I have owned several Blues Jr's and like them a lot but I don't like the control panel being upside down. This product turns that around for you in just minutes. It is Very easy to install and it makes seeing your settings so much easier and the white writing is much easier to see, especially in lower light. Why didn't Fender think of this?
Piece of cake to put on the amp, even if I wasn't recapping it. A brilliant idea: Reverse the lettering, and make it visible by changing the contrast of the lettering, so that all the controls are easy visualize even in low light (sleazy bars, etc) conditions. Make it readable from the FRONT of the amp, where guitar players almost always stand. Fender blew it. Thank God for this overlay. If you own a Blues Jr, buy this.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Must have for any USA Fender Blues Junior owner! The kit is an exact fit and comes with very easy instructions. It is absolutely awesome how big of a difference this kit has made my 1999 USA Blues Junior sound. The most noticeable thing is how freaking quiet the amp has been made with the addition of this Supreme Mod Kit. Just need to be very careful when installing this kit because it needs you to perform soldering directly onto the PCB Board. This Kit is worth EVERY PENNY! My formerly crappy reverb has been awoke and it actually resembles Fender Reverb now whereas before it was barely noticeable cranked. HUGE difference and it is awesome now. The amp sounds BIG now and the bass is nice and big and tight. It certainly doesn't sound like an open back single Eminence Fender Special Design 12" anymore. Sweet amp...
I've owned hot rod deluxes and a lot of people said to get the blues Jr. Now I know why. I bought this amp used and when I plugged it in after taking it out of the box it was crinkling something fierce. Blues Jr w/ Cannibas Rex
This is a great little amp - I hate to say this but this little amp is better than the made in USA i had years ago. I think it is due to the cannabis rex speaker. I don't know, but I like it a lot. Easy to install , Easy to read
I didn't like the way Fender tweed amps have the words written so to view it from the back of the amp. This panel makes it easy, at a glance, to see what is what.
