Add a little more GOLD!
Here are some tips: Swap out these dull brown/gold plastic knobs with gold metal ones and throw on a set of clover leaf tuning keys for even more glitz. I've also added a Hipshot 3 point bridge (for both string adjustability and its chunky looks) and the big Fender "F" logo strap locks(GOLD). Did I stop there! NO!!!! I spray painted the truss rod cover and threw on a gold Hipshot thumb rest. Please, only those with proper knowledge of power tools should ever attempt this mod. Anyway, it's so gaudy that its cool. Now for sound: If you like that deeper bottom sound, you can't beat this little bass Having good EQ bands on your amp (I use Acoustic) really helps you to shape the sound. You can dial in some treble if its too heavy for your liking, I have a Fender Jazz and a Les Paul bass but this is my favorite "playing" instrument. Seriously. Oh! Fun to play and economical
The good. It looks great. Fit and finish is very good. The neck is smooth all around. I`m a Fender guy but I`m getting to love the woody tone this bass has. I don`t know how they keep the price so low and the quality this good. There is nothing bad really. The tuners are a bit touchy but I`m getting used to keeping it in tune. I had a drumbeat a few years ago (wine red) and it was my go to bass for a long time so I figured it was time to get another one. What a mistake.
