Whether you own an Apple Mac or Windows PC, this product is easy to use. Just hook up a digital camera or flash drive with USB 2.0 or insert a memory card and print your photos directly. Print a 5 x 7-inch glossy photo in just 29 seconds. The HP Photosmart 8250 inkjet printer is also helpful for scrapbooking and other craft activities. No matter what type of print project you are working on, the HP Photosmart system will make everything more convenient.The HP 8250 Photosmart uses a reservoir system of six separate ink cartridges. The colors are black, cyan, light cyan, light magenta, magenta, and yellow. The single ink cartridge technology is efficient and economical, especially if you print a lot of colored photos. When you're just low on one color, you only need to replace that individual cartridge. Plus, the Vivera inks are long-lasting. Prints using Vivera ink can last 40-50 years under glass. With its smart, ink-sensing design, the Photosmart printer will pause between jobs if there isn't enough ink to properly color the photo. This will allow you to save paper and leftover ink. Excess ink that would usually be wasted during head cleaning and other tasks is recycled back into the printer. For a test photo, use the default print mode so less ink is expended on your first draft. For the real deal, use higher-quality modes that use more ink.The 2.5-inch LCD screen control panel on the front of the Photosmart printer provides access to various menus. You can preview photo files and do simple edits from the screen. You can crop, zoom, adjust colors, and correct red-eye using the built-in software. The four media card slots are easy to reach and protected by a clear plastic cover. You can use a variety of memory card options right from the Photosmart printer if you want to skip the computer. The printer's main paper tray holds 100 sheets of plain paper while the second paper tray can hold 20 sheets of 4 x 6 photo paper. Want to print text and photo files without any wires at all? Bluetooth printing is available, and you can set up the printer with a Wireless Network Adapter or Wireless Print Server. Try out the included HP Image Zone software, which can help with photo organization, sharing, and design. One of the printer's special options is borderless printing. An optional, duplex printing accessory for double-sided prints can be purchased separately. Create designs for banners, envelopes, greeting cards, and even iron-on transfers and transparencies. Excellent photo printer
This is the second 8250 printer that I have had. 1st one worked for many years and I loved the photos that I printed with it. When the original one quit working I checked on eBay to see if I could still get one. Found this one and hope it lasts as long as the first one. Quite Happy with my Purchase..
Was impressed with the packing of the product especially the taping of the ink cartridges so they would not leak. There was one small imperfection.
