Well priceed nice little drive & quiet.
Original in my sons laptop failed ourtside of warranty. (I did check) You know how kids (14yr old) throw gadgets around and still expect them to work 100%. Well as I expected at some stage, sooner rather than later somthing was going to break, yes the hard drive did!! Installed this as identical replacement, from original recovery discs I made on day 1. In a word "easy" machine is as new. Well priceed nice little drive & quiet.

Great Replacement 2.5" HDD for Laptop Repair or an External Housing.
Needed this for a laptop repair - which had been dropped, thus hard drive had seized. This became a 5 minute fix with this drive, plus a reinstall for the laptop, but it is back up and running again now. I have always found SeaGate drives much more reliable than Samsung and or Toshiba branded drives and are my first choice in new machine builds - I don't think a SeaGate has ever seized on me, so they are great for data recovery without the need for special software.

What I think and feel about Seagate Momentus hard drives
I bought this product because I have always felt safer to buy Seagate branded hard drives because I was brought up with it and it was a bargain. Not to mention that I have also bought 2 of these to replace 2 failed Seagate Hard drives. Please also remember that even good, branded products break, and they may also have factory defects. For me, I have learned that if you don't keep banging your laptop about while it's on, it lengthens the life of your hard drives. I am satisfied with it's performance, quiet and energy efficient. It will always be my first choice when I go shopping for hard drives.

Perfect no faults
Drive arrived quickly in perfect condition ran sea tools drive functional test in advanced/ extended mode no faults found - fitted to laptop as an upgrade the client was more than happy. would go back to this supplier
