The PLS PLS180 laser tool is a self-leveling cross line laser from Pacific Laser Systems. This square tool comes in a bright yellow case with red lettering across its exterior. A recessed glass window resides on one side of the PlS-60521, which allows a red laser to emanate outward and onto your job site. Lining up dropped ceilings or plumbing drywall sections is a snap with this 635 to 670-nanometer diode laser by your side.This horizontal and vertical PLS180 laser has a leveling range of 6 degrees. When you roughly set up the unit at your job site, it can compensate for those 6 degrees of tilt or notify you of an error. The simple, control panel has LED lights that indicate level, out-of-level, low battery, and advanced functions. When you visually set the PLS equipment on a tripod or wall mount, the internal pendulum will compensate for any error. A fully level state is verified when the laser finally shoots out of the glass window.The glass window is an insert inside of a cutout along the side of these line lasers. This design offers a wraparound effect outside of the plastic housing. The light beam can fan out to a full, 180-degree arc without needing to beam around the physical housing. You'll immediately have either a horizontal, vertical, or combined line system across your job site. Use these lines when mapping out and planning any type of construction work. Temperature and weather are not factors as the automatic beam works in heat up to 122 degrees Fahrenheit.Providing multiple functions to show plumb, square, and level, the PLS 180 Horizontal-Vertical Level Tool is designed to be a visual marker up to about 50 feet in darkened interior areas. You can use the PLS180 by Pacific Laser Systems in outdoor conditions when you match it with an SLD detector. Press the "pulse on" button, and the light beam will blink for the detector that can be up to 100 feet away. Attach these power tools to a bracket as you line them up with the detector because the PLS equipment comes with a threaded base as a standard feature.With an accuracy rate of 1/8-inch at 30 feet, the laser level is accurate enough for many construction purposes. These accessories can last up to 25 hours when you use one beam on a consistent basis. You'll need to add three AA batteries to the PLS when the beam appears to fade. Keep an eye on the battery indicator that will display an amber color when the batteries are getting low, and you'll never run out of leveling power. This PLS tool weighs less than 2 pounds and measures 6 inches across every dimension, making it a handheld unit that's easily placed in a carrying case for ultimate portability.Product Identifiers

Great Tool For Pros or The Do It Yourself Crowd.
I am a professional trim carpenter for a high end outfit. This tool not only makes my work faster and easier but much nicer. I broke it out immediately for the construction of a large built in shelving unit. I was able to get true plum lines floor to ceiling (10 ft.) without having to fumble with a large level on a step ladder. I also was able to get 18 feet of horizontal line for perfectly aligned shelves. Nice to walk up to the wall with a level line already there. This tool is very versatile.
