Nearly as heavy as the Leslie
Like people say, this thing is a tank. I'm going to have to put it in the middle of my pedal board so that the pedal board doesn't list to one side... The three Leslie cabinet types and the three acceleration/deceleration settings available are on sliding switches. I've tried a number of Leslie simulators, and this sounds great. Using it live the first time it was pretty easy to change speeds (done with the footswitch) or turn it on and off (also done with the footswitch). The one thing I wish that the pedal did was to be able to freeze it at a certain sound, and just use the drive control.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Works pretty well! Not a "true" leslie, but very close considering it's electrical vs mechanical. Has settings for 3 most popular leslie speaker cabinets, and separate speed settings for the "horn" and "drum". I like it! Uses a 9v battery or transformer. 1/2lb pedal or 110lb Leslie speaker?
Always ALWAYS get a unit with a "ramp" function, which, just like a mechanical Leslie takes time to speed up or slow down. That's the best part of it, the doppler effect. Does a great job, Electro Harminex has one out for twice the price, sounds just a little better but for the $$$, I prefer this one. Built for stompin', controls are easy to read and change. "Leslie-like" simulator
This is as close to good as it gets, unless you want to lug a full sized Leslie tm around. Is it as good as Hammond's "Leslie" simulator or the EHX Lester G? Well, maybe it isn't their equal, I can't even speak to that because I haven't tried those along side, but it shouldn't be as good considering the price difference. But it's a pretty good alternative to the Lester K, at least in terms of features and functionality, i.e., you'll still need a little compression for it to be manage the attack. It is really quite good (even if a tad noisy if not on isolated PS. Mostly a noticeable whoosh whoosh whoosh "rotating" hum. Bottom-line, if you love your EHX B9 pedal and want more cabinet-like Leslie features than what is available using the "mod" knob, this is your hundred dollar answer. For me it provided a better value considering it's occasional use. And it produces a good set of David Gilmore "Dark Side of the Moon" sounds used all by its self... without lugging the real thing around.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
