You’ll get 4x magnification and a field of view of 27.3 feet at 100 yards. This level of magnification is considered suitable for hunting deer. Multi-coated optics on the Mark III deliver numerous benefits. You’ll see your target with enhanced contrast and a brighter illuminated view. It also resists fogging up in wet weather. With either the Gen 2 or 3, you’ll get the popular dual-color reticle presentation. This enables quick focusing on a target. Generation 2 models of these scopes have blue and green reticles. On Generation 3 models, the colors are red and green. The reticle style is P4 sniper. NcSTAR has provided multiple settings for reticle brightness. A CR2032 battery powers the reticles on the Gen 2. A standard AA battery powers the electronic control panel on the Gen 3. Adjusting reticle brightness will let you set up the tactical scope for your specific situation. When hunting, you might be viewing a background highly textured with foliage. Light might be dim at dawn, at dusk, or on rainy days. Your ability to adjust this feature on the scope will help you to find the appropriate setting for your personal shooting style. Well built compact tactical style optic.
Nice solid tactical style scope. Compact size is great for short barreled AR style builds. The integrated quick disconnect style mount makes it easy and fast to mount or change the optic. The quality of the NcStar products has been impressive for an economy priced optic. I have used them on several of my builds. Good but not for high caliber
Got 2. One for a 22 which works great just takes a long time to sight in. The other got for 223/5.56 took long to sight in and towards the end of finally sighting it in the sleeve you mount the holographic sight on came loose from the recoil. Frustrated I ended up getting offset mounts for the holographic sights so far so good after putting the offset mounts on. i own several NcStar scopes and have never had an issue with them. I purchased this one for my Colt M4 Carbine and it is amazing. the optics are clear and dead on while the laser is everything i hoped it would be. at 75 yards i can see it perfectly.
