Awesome Pedal!!! Awesome Value!!! Great practice tool!!!
I use this pedal every time I practice. These are my 3 favorite features and by far the most useful components: (1) TIMING- You can use the tap tempo/drum rhythms for timing. (2) RHYTHM- Then go into the "Looping" feature put down a rhythm pattern, loop it [Pedal can also Overdub loops] (3) LEAD- And practice your scales and licks over the Loop. Unfortunately there are two problems with the looping. First, the loop is only 60 seconds long, but long enough to lay down some sweet 12 bar blues. Second the loop resets every time you turn the pedal on/off. But needing to lay down a backtrack every time, just helps me practice my rhythm. Not a big deal... It's only 60 seconds. Some of the other more expensive pedals don't have a looping feature at all, or the time is too short (your not gonna get 12 bars of rhythm in 30 seconds). Plus it has a lot of cool effects to use... Reverbs / Flang / Chorus / Cry Baby / Distortion / Compression / Octave / Pitch and many amp models. May sound nasty with modeling amps that have problems playing true clean sounds. Too much "Cross Mojanation" going on. Using the effects of the pedal, and played through a clean amp, this pedal rocks!!! Just an awesome pedal!!!

FX get better & better
Although there are so many ways to play sometimes just playing guitar can get boring. That's why these little effects are so popular - you can never get bored playing through these little FX boxes. Way back in the day these were expensive and not too good but technology just gets better and better. Today, the Zoom G1Xon is a fantastic improvement on the boxes of yesteryear. With so many effects in so many arrangements in so many orders you have such a wide array of sounds to choose from. And if you mic through it with a regular 1/4" jack you can even use this for voice - I know I tried it! Add to all this a loop feature and you have an unbeatable source of musical pleasure for years to come. Good for home and local venues (don't know if I would use this in concert), you can't beat this for the price.

Great product once you take the time to learn how to use it
At first I thought it was junk, I found out it has so much built in and many ways to adjust for your style. I still have not found my sound but it is definitely a step in the right direction.
