I do video editing and always use a seagate fir its reliability. This one ua no different and with a spin rate of 7500rpm more than fast enough for the job. What a price too!

There is a sneaky little jumper on the back of this drive limiting it to 1.5gbps (150MB/s). Pull it off and it doubles the speed. OK, so it does not make it twice as quick at everything but it does double the data rate of the SATA.

Not bad drive, but a bit dated compared to the WD ones I use, that have better mapping ability. The WD is quieter and less power hungry. That being said, the Seagate is a perfectly useable HDD.
I bought a pair of these to set up a raid on my Mac and I couldn't be any happier with my purchase. Reliable cheap hard drives which could last you years to come.
