This hard drive was what I needed to complete a Toshiba S3000-x11 laptop. It worked as I hoped, the hard drive was sent with an I.D.E. hard drive connector which is what I needed; I wish that when people sell second hand laptops and remove the hard drive for data protection they take the seconds to remove the hard drive connector because to recycle a laptop you need the connector, without the connector the laptop is useless. So please include the connector, this will insure that the laptop will sell! This was what I needed to complete a cheap Christmas Present for a friend who now has a fully functioning laptop for his shop after I put an operating system in it, made it WiFi enabled and a data base Word 8.5.
the product was good, buti could not use it. as it was formated different, and i could not put windows on it. so i returned it.

This used 30GB drive is a standard replacement for many older Dell laptops and is very easy to fit, just 4 screws I think to remove from the underside of the computer. After exchanging it for the old dead drive I ran my XP set-up CD and within 30 mins the new drive was ready. I then downloaded the Dell drivers for audio, graphics, touchpad and network and the laptop was as good as new. Highly recommended.
Its a old type but was what I needed for. I bought it to install in an old laptop and it works perfectly. Its not cheap but its not that easy to find much or better choices for this old models. I'm sattisfyed
