Great replacement for a 40gb 4th gen.. I expect
SonI bought this as a replacement deive for a 20Gb 4th gen ipod .. not realising it was too thick to get the case closed.. my fault entirely.. I now have a franken-pod! However the drive works fantastically and I didnt have any problems with the actual technical side .. loaded my itunes lib no problem and brought a dead ipod back to life.. I have since ordered a 30GB model which will fit the case and I'll swap this out and build it into my workshop ipod :) I think this 60GB drive will most likely fit the thicker 40GB case of the 4th Gen. Even though I purchased the wrong item Im very happy to have resurrected a dead ipod i to a useable piece of kit.. the drive came exceptionally well packaged too so I had no fear of it being DOA due to shock in transit.
