The wah sound itself is produced by changing the frequency of the filter circuit, which happens when you push down or pull up on the treadle. It has a wah range of 350 to 2,200 hertz for guitar and 175 to 1,100 hertz for bass. Its input impedance is 330 kilo-ohms, and it has an output impedance of fewer than 1.2 kilo-ohms. Tone Killer
Putting this pedal in the chain kills the tone. It works fine and sounds fine when engaged , but when off darkens the tone far too much to be usable. Could be used in studio work, but is otherwise worthless unless you plan on having it on all the time. tone sucking solved
there are 200 reviews out there, saying it is a tone sucker. Mine doesnt do that. it is running into a slightly overdriven channel and theres no loss in the high end whatsoever. it does muddy the tone on megaclean, but people mostly buy it because they like the frusciante tone which isnt really clean anyways. once you find that edge of breakup kind of sweet spot on your crunch channel/overdrive pedal (which has to be after the wh10, so closer to the amp) the pedal will do no significant changes to your tone. also on a clean channel it will make a huge volume jump when engaged, the slightly broken up signal will make that behave too.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
