    Tolstoy's classic book brought to the small screen.

    A good attempt to adapt Tolstoy's classic story for the small screen. A vast host of famous actors and actresses take on the roles of the main characters. Great battle scenes as the French army invades Russia and is then destroyed by the winter weather and the following Russian army as it retreats back to France.

    The most comprehensive version of War and Peace ever made as it is 24 hours rather than the usual 2 hours of a feature film. It has time to discover the characters properly.

    Just like the book

    I really liked the book and am happy to say that this series did justice to the book. A film would not be long enough fir this book. I've that some more modern versions have just tried to sexualize the story. This version tries very well to be like the book.
