Workhorse
I've already used it 5 times for cookies, whipped cream and even once for mashed potatoes. Can't speak to longevity because I've only had it for a month-ish. I did purchase the pour shield (not included in the KL model) and the now discontinued flex edge beater (the new one doesn't have a skeleton just the outside spade shape) and it's great. Don't know why they changed the design of the flex edge. But so far it works great. :-) time will tell on longevity. I plan on getting some more attachments. I got it on special with coupon code for about same price as artisan so I'm happy. Probably will get the 3qt and combi whip too. Nice Design but with issues
Nice design Kitchen Aid mixer. But this one lacked of finishing touches. This is the third kitchen aid that I own and probably the worst. The bowl is almost unavailable fit in the mixer if is not applied a good amount of brute force on the back. Also the bowl does not fit well to the sides of the mixer (thing that does not happen to my older version). It was a birthday present to my mom and she is unable to use it because the pressure that needs to be applied.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Terrific Mixer!
This is an excellent machine. Well designed and engineered to take a beating. It has more power for bread and pizza dough than any other machine I have ever used. Differeng mixer but OEM
I have purchased several mixers lately, this pro600 does not mention it in writing in its front like the previous one, and this one in particular does not have the splash guard they usually come with, but for some reason the manufacturer did not include i...besides those findings, item is brand new, in perfect condition.

Replacement for 1980 Mixer
We are very pleased with the mixer and the value we got. The attachments we purchased over the years for the smaller tilt-mixer fit this larger model. Quality of construction does not appear to be as good as the 1980 model we are replacing. The bowl is a bit cumbersome/difficult to install compared to the tilt model where the bowl simply twists to lock into position. Overall, though, we really like the mixer. Brutis Is in the house
We have a smaller version ( by about half) that is more than 20 yrs old, its starting to show it age, it was used very often with out any failure at all, it was time to move up to a larger stand mixer and this "Big Boy" is up for the job, all the attachments I purchased over the years work/fit Brutis; I would suggest you find a suitable place on the counter top for him to live, the machine weighs in at near 30lbs, making it difficult to get it in and out of a cabinet, so save your arms and back and park him somewhere on top. Great machine has many features like a slow start so as not to dust your kitchen with dry ingredients, 10 speeds make it easy to make bread dough, with a commercial style hook ( smaller of course), price was the best I have seen in years and I am considering getting one for my daughter next season.
