Needs to be used in conjunction with the jig that Dapol produce and sell separately in order to guarantee all couplings are level and at the same height, ensuring consistency of operation; enable modellers to get rid of the obtrusive standard Rapido couplings and fit any one of a number of better alternatives, not least Dapol's own automatic coupling or their much simpler dummy Buckeye, which is fine for fixed rakes of coaches or wagons. I have used them on occasion to fit one kind of coupling at one end of a vehicle and a Dapol at the other, to act as a kind on "translator" vehicle. This can be very useful when you buy models at auction and find the couplings aren't compatible with your existing stock.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
