Cheap, badly made bells are often fitted as standard to shop bought bikes. On the road, bells aren't often needed or used (not a UK requirement, but recommended), but in urban situations or on shared pedestrian cycle tracks, a must. This bell is small, nicely made, but best of all, makes a nice, penetrating ding with sustain that so far, has penetrated the ears of even the most oblivious pedestrians, even submerged in phone conversations with headphones on. The only downside so far has been fitting it in a reachable position on straight bars with grips and gear/brake clusters like Shimano Alivio which don't have much room between the bar and the cable adjusters. With a bit of fiddling, it is possible to get it reasonably close to your hand. Comes in an expensive looking box complete with Allen key. How well it stands up to the weather remains to be seen. All in all, probably the best bell in many years of cycling and would definitely buy again. Good service from the seller.Read full review

Nice bell, Gives a clear ping, not the loudest but so far has always grabbed attention when approaching walkers on my mtb. Note: Buy the small size for mtb bars if you are mounting near the handgrip. Counter intuitively the large is probably best for road bikes near the stem.

Louder than expected, considering reviews but feel I almost broke it on installation! Not sure how long it will last

Was expecting a better bell than this, after reading reviews, I wouldn't say it's good quality really, I was expecting a better sound from the bell, I would say its only a bit better sound than a cheap bell
