Good product but D-Link instructions and software app awful
I was looking for an Ethernet connected wide-angle cam and this is about the only one available, with 180 deg field. The D-Link website is plain wrong and no instructions are provided, just an app download link that only works on smartphones (or, more often, doesn't). However, I searched online before buying and if you connect it up by Ethernet, download the full US manual online, connect directly and work round the configuration options, it has great features and works well. You can connect remotely to view and control the camera. What you can't do without the app is have D-LInk store images (which I didn't want), but you can store them on a micro SD card and retrieve them. What is ridiculous is that D-Link doesn't let you register the product on its website, that can only be done (supposedly) with the app that often doesn't work. So, if you want a good product and are expert enough to configure it but don't want or need an app and online service, it's great. The 4* reflect that with one taken off for the dire instructions, software and website.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good quality camera.
I gave myself a choice between this and a Nest camera, I already have Nest products. I chose this one because I can access the video files for free by using a micro SD card in the camera. The app is fairly easy to use and the camera very easy to set-up. The only issue I have with it is the size of the hole needed to get the wires through a wall. Sadly there's nothing that can be done about it As It's POE and mains. It comes with a UK mains power supply, a short Cat 5 cable and even the screws and plugs needed to fix it to the wall. As with all of these WiFi cameras there is a slight delay when accessing the memory card to view the files but that's also dependent on the quality of the signal.
