    Makes a difficult job a lot easier

    This tool is very useful and works well. Being a general purpose tool it has to make some compromises - the prongs that engage with the camshaft pulleys are longer than I need for my engines making the tool slightly insecure in use, I shall improve it by cutting prongs down to half original length. Have done two twin cam engines with this now and the pivot is showing signs of becoming sloppy - I think ipivot is an aluminium rivet - not very durable - I shall replace the pivot with a stainless bolt, washers and nylock nut which will be stronger and give the tool an extended life. This is a "cheap and cheerful" tool for occasional use - for heavier duty or prolonged use either buy a higher quality tool or modify this one as outlined above.

    Don't make one buy one, it saves time and it works first time!

    This is better than making your own cam gear holder as suggested in some Haynes manuals. Better grip and you just need to spend some money not mess about making a tool.
