The fitting is not rigid since the interface to the bar is via sponge rubber. The weights are made of aluminium, so not nearly as effective as steel weights to reduce handle bar vibration. Density of aluminium is 2.7 and of steel is 7.9 grams/cubic centimetre. The quality of manufacture is good, but it is just that it is not especially appropriate for the application to protect bar ends nor significantly reduce vibration - pity because price is good.

They'd get 5 stars if they stayed in, but as they don't they are totally redundant and not worth any stars. The rubber expanding grommet that fits in to the bar end is a snug fit and should be fine, but it has no purchase when you expand it and tighten things up. Even to the point of tightening to destruction the rubber is too soft and just gives. Dangerous considering the weight, if one flew off at speed they are basically bullets.

Did not actually fit the bike I bought it for, but have resold on eBay as new other.

Top quality Oxford product, easy to fit, and multiple handlebar thickness rubbers included. This ensures the secure fit you would expect. I'm not sure why others had a problem. Maybe they shouldn't be allowed spanners. which, by the way, wasn't needed as an Allen key for fitting is included also.
