    Works but be careful!

This item works okay, but be careful. ALWAYS OPEN AWAY FROM YOUR FACE! It's probably best only to use this if you have half a bottle of soda left. If you use it after one glass of soda (3/4 of bottle or more) then you can very easily over pressurize the bottle and when you go to remove the pump/cap later...BOOM! The pump/cap will shoot off like a rocket and hit the ceiling and then your pop will spill out all over the place. Also with like less than a half of bottle you have to pump the thing like 50 plus times or more, not real convenient at that point, but it does seem to work.

  • Most critical review

pull knob needs to be larger diameter, or my skin gets pinched when plunger comes down to meet cap

I was thinking of gluing a golf ball to the top to use as handle, using Shoe Goo. All these soda fizz keepers, whether this brand or generic (generic seals go bad fast), the plunger disc is same diameter as the cap. It makes my skin gets pinched between them when you push plunger down. Diameter of plunger grip needs to be at least 1/4" larger, to keep skin on my hand away from contact on cap and getting smashed. It makes me not be able to pump efficiently - OUCH !

  • I don't think it helps in anyway.

Pros: It makes you think its freshly opened each time you crack the cap because of the fizzle sound. Cons: 1) Each time you drink the more pump strokes it needs to pressurize the bottle. The most I've pumped is around 55 strokes. 2) I've pinched fingers between the plunger and it's base every time I used it. 3) Hard to unscrew under pressure. 4) Doesn't prolong the flavor of the soda at all. 5) One time it was lost and found it attached on the bottle in the recycling bin.

  • One of the best Fizz keepers on the market

Best product on the market that actually keeps your soda from going flat. It has also saved me money because now my soda stays fresh and lasts literally until the last drop is gone. Without this product, my 2 liter of soda would last about 2 days before going flat. Best product ever!

  • Marginally keeps the fizz

I'd say this helps prolong the life of your soda by about 50%. Considering that there's very little you can do other than re carbonate the soda, I'd say it works well enough. It takes quite a few pumps; about 10 pumps for every 1/10th of the bottle used. So 10 pumps for 90% left, 90 pumps for 10% left. For what it is, I would expect to see this in the dollar store sometime in the future. $7 is a little over what value I think this has.

  • Works!

This little gadget works well. It is better than letting the pop go completely flat. However, if you are expecting 100% fizz after a day, I don't think that can happen with any pop saver, but this one does a good job of making it the best possible.

  • Disappointed

I have the other type of fizz saver that uses a rubber bulb on the top and thought that this product would be easier and more efficient, but it's not. It doesn't seem to pump very much air with each stroke and so it takes a lot longer and doesn't provide as much pressure in the bottle. I use them for the 1st couple of glasses of soda, but as the bottle empties, I use the bulb type because of it's superior pressure.

  • HAPPY CUSTOMER

Saving lots of money cause drinks stay fresh n fizzy for long time Never had to dump a flat one since using them Even works with smaller bottle up to 2 liter Lot of pumping when bottle gets emptier, but still well worth it VERY SATISFIED

  • Pumps, sometimes...

It does what it's supposed to do, but not as well as expected. When pumping, most of the times the 'pump' goes down with no effect. No pumping what so ever. Every tree to four pumpings, it does pump air into the bottle. Since I like my fizz, I don't give up and keep pumping until the bottle is pumped. But that takes a lot longer that it should have.

  • It will SAVE you money!!!

I own about 5 of these. Three that are in current use and two more that I keep as spares. If you've every hated drinking flat soda or, if you do like I used to do, throw flat soda down the drain. Then you need these. These little babies will actually SAVE you money. I've been buying these for decades now. Highly recommended.
