This is a complete N gauge vehicle of Tsugawa Yoko, Arita Railway Coppel No.1 (preserved car / simple rod specification). and main rod are connected to the wheels. TN couplers can be installed, other manufacturers' couplers may require modification for installation.

A lovely little runner
Trust Japanese manufacturers to be able to create an N scale 0-4-0 loco chassis that is only 3cm long! The model runs very well and is almost silent. My only quibble is that instructions come only in Japanese - how difficult would it be to be able to provide an English version to download from their website? Additionally, it appears to be designed to run on 2-4.5v so controlling it so that it doesn’t zoom around needs care. When it does go round at about 3v the working motion is exquisite. There are various additions included (pipework, number plates, whistles and extra bits of motion) but without being able to translate the instructions one has to rely on the small photos. Not too expensive (unless you have to pay customs duty too!) so would make an excellent chassis for HOe or OO9 modelling too.
