Why spend more on a radiator cooling fan
This was used to replace an old 12" fan on an old Hymer camper van. Typically, the old fans are not worth repairing as the metal retaining pieces for the permanent magnets tend to rust and fall apart. Rather than wasting time on an old motor which often has worn, rusted and rumbling bearings, this is the ideal replacement part which is not difficult to fit, with only minor modifications to the mountings. The bi-directional nature of the motor is a great feature, if the initial installation blows in the wrong direction. The wires can simply be reversed and the problem is solved. The construction is much lighter weight also which is great for a camper van, where each piece of equipment has to be considered for weight, to avoid overloading the van. The value here is excellent, which is another superb aspect of this product. Perhaps the fitting instructions and specification data could be improved but that is a small point in the overall consideration - a great product and it solved a tricky problem without spending 'two fortunes'!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
