It helped to get the job done

The range of sizes given was helpful (100 - 115mm) but the rear brake drums on Peugeot 206 have a lip around the bearing housing which protrudes, and this is larger diameter than the clear space between the legs of the puller. I used a couple of spanners to shim the difference, and a spacer between the middle bolt and the axle. Without this tool, I couldn't have progressed. For the money and speed of delivery, it was good value and solved my problem.

    Needed some modification

The press is quite heavy duty in construction but needed some modifying before use. The hole centres don't quite allow attachment to 100mm gap so I had to extend the slots inward. The press bolt is also just a plain-ended type so will potentially damage, say, an axle end or similar if stuck. Again, easily fixed with an angle grinder by adding a chamfer or just placing a softer material between the bolt and axle but I can't help but think a little more effort from the manufacturers would make this a perfect little press tool for the home mechanic. Of course, then it would cost more... All in all it's usable, albeit requiring some modification for my particular needs.

  • Good, but screw too short

On a fiesta 2007 if you try to fix this up against the face of the drum it fouls before it gets there, but there's really no need for them to meet as you are pulling rather than pushing. That said you need a longer spacer under the bolt, but you needed one anyway. It's a lot lot better than nothing!

  • Good Quality Product

Good Quality Product. Didn't really need it after it arrived too late but keeping it now anyway.

  • Not fit for purpose

broke on first use, machining poor on sides, tool used to mill the sides clearly severely worn. Might work in theory but in practice is no use whatsoever, would give zero stars if I could

  • Needs modified but worked forme

Pug 207 drum was stuck on hard. Bearing rusted to the spline and shoes caught on the wear lip on the drum. This did remove it with some modification. The end of the bolt is poorly finished so you MUST put some metal between the bolt end and the hub spline. On many Peugeot and Citroen drums you need to pack the 2 legs up about 6mm IDENTICAL on both sides as the lip on the drum fouls the tool. Try to give it as much surface area as you can. I thought it might break but it did survive for next time. At 10quid delivered its well worth it . Just remember that you will likely need to replace the wheel bearing after needing a puller.

  • Hub brake puller.

Bought this for my father. Who used it the other day got the job done no problem at all. A handy bit of kit for a tenner.

  • Draper Universal Hub Puller

Had to use washers to pack it out as centre bolt really needs to be between 25 - 50mm longer. Also centre bolt would be better slightly pointed to engage with depression in bolt head on vehicle. Apart from those two observations did its job ok.

  • Hub puller does the job

I bought this to pull of a rear brake drum of a kangoo. Luckily it was a 4stud wheel hub. This is only for 4stud hubs. I didn’t check before purchase. The holes for the wheel studs to clamp it down where not close enough so I had to file the holes a bit to get them to line up. But it was no problem to remove hub once set up. Handy tool for pulling off 4 stud brake drums.
