Worth the money.
We inherited a pool when we bought our house. It was a mess. We decided to convert to salt water when we were in the process of draining and cleaning it. We installed it once it came in and followed the directions and within 4 days our pool was finally completely clear. So far it is definitely worth it. The price wasn't too bad. From what I'm told its a pretty good value compared to higher priced ones. The quality isn't too bad. The case/body of the pump isn't made of the strongest material but it will do fine where we live in So. Illinois. However, I do plan to build or purchase something to cover it from the elements during the summer. So far so good after 2 weeks. I'd post pictures if I had any.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Works good with salt below 3000.
I had the previous model that lasted 3 seasons. Saw lot of mixed reviews on this. So far it's working great. Have had it for a month. Easily maintains my free chlorine at 3.0 with 4 hrs of run time a day(18' × 52" round pool). I maintain my salt level at 2800. Nice product!
Just got it several days ago but so far it is working great, my water is crystal clear and the salt generator seems to be doing a good job of generating chlorine, this is my first time having a pool and also having a salt generator but it was easy for me to figure out how to hook it up and get it going. Great saltwater system, worth the money
This is the second Intex saltwater system I've had. The first one came with a used pool that I bought and worked great for 2 seasons. It had a lot of run time on it, and finally gave out. This new one is 100 percent better than the old one, sleeker and lighter. Been using it for over a month and works better than the old one. I have it hooked to a sand filter and the pool is really clear. Last time I only had a small filter that came with the pool, the filter had to be replaced weekly and cost a fortune, by the end of the week it would not pump enough through the saltwater pump and would give an error message. Switched from chlorine to saltwater.
So far so good. We received it very quickly, it was easy to install and now are waiting for the water to warm up. It seems to have worked well switching from chlorine pump and filter to salt water which we wanted to do for the grandson lives in the pool all summer.
