Best Overall Grip
I have worked on & built AR type weapons since the '80s and have used every custom grip out there with varying degrees of satisfaction. This grip bolts right on (Some receivers require you to razor blade off the tab seen at the top of the finger grips, but it's a 10 second job.) and the safety function works fine after install. I've used other brands where much fitting had to be done because the new grip jammed the safety and was a real hassle. The finger grips fit really great where others are too shallow or the thickness of the grip gives a bad feel. This grip comes with or without a beaver tail, but I prefer the one with. Great Improvement
I was lucky enough to stumble into the existence of this new version of the Hogue grip from the previous. I was let down by the previous version on my other rifle. It just didn't have the look and feel I had hoped for. I was looking at buying an Ergo grip when I read reviews of people claiming they preferred this one instead. I always liked the texture of the rubber on my two Saiga's with the Hogue, and wished they made one with a bigger palm swell and arched back strap. Whala! Hogue got it right on this one! The only thing I wished it had was a plug on the bottom like the Ergo for storage. At this time I still haven't found if they even make one, but it looks like there is a detent inside the bottom of the grip that would allow for one. Still looking for the existence of the plug. Great grip, but if you have multiple AR's it will make you want to replace them all! My Magpul's may be going down the road. :(Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great Replacement Grip
If you have big hands and long fingers like I do, this is the grip for you. I have replaced all my AR grips with this one from Hogue. The best feature is how the back strap fills in that area of the behind the lower to allow for me to have a better grip on it than the cheap little plastic ones that are often sold with the gun or lower build kits I was even able to find a pink version for my wife's AR and she loves the improved feel and grip for better accuracy.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Hogue never disappoints
Hogue makes great products, I use their grips on everything from my .357 magnum revolvers to my Ak47, so naturally when I got an AR I wanted a hogue grip. I have big hands so standard A2 grips feel small to me.

Hogue is the best IMO
If you don't mind finger grooves this grip may be good for you. I love them and have two, one on each of my rifles. On one I had to remove the little nub because that lower receiver is billeted and doesn't have space for it. I just cut it off with a hack saw and filed it smooth.
