    Awesome piece of kit when used correctly.

    12 years ago i first bought this tool it was originally called THE RIGMASTER.I have caught carp to 65LB using this tool.When this tool is used correctly It's absolutely fantastic i can tye hook from a size 2 allthe way up to a size 18 It's brilliant especially if you have carrot fingers it just makes the job easy but more importantly it ties it perfect every time.I bought this NGT version of the RIGMASTER to compare with my original RIGMASTER NGT have done a great job with it.If you go to YOUTUBE type RIGMASTER the video is 12 years old now but should explain in a lot more detail how to use it.I can tye hair rigs with bands,quick stops,bait spikes.I never leave home without my RIGMASTER 10/10.Alien

    Precise measurements, bad build quality

    The only thing I didn’t like was the loop slider which is held by rubber o ring friction which can move the loop slider out of position if accidentally to much pressure is applied, which is not ideal when trying to tie a rig quickly. Plus as the o ring will wear down becoming looser and looser over time making it unusable, Would have been better with a metal locking mechanism and not an o ring on the loop slider. The screw clamp hook holder is good, shame the loop slider didn’t have same build quality.

    Youtube Video on its benefits of use please

    good tool, not certain how useful it is to me i would like to see a video maybe on how to use it to its full potential say on youtube still need to use it to gain more confidence as it seems i have to tie a loop first then use the tool if i am going to make a hair rig. i thought it would be able to make the loop and banded hair rig as well as other kinds of things so i am not sure just how good it actually is As it is a premium price i thought it would do more than it says on the card instruction that is part of the packaging

    Cheap and effective hair rig tyer.

    The tool makes it fairly easy to tie consistent hair rigs and by moving the peg to vary between long and short hairs. I find it quite useful. Perhaps it could be produced in a fluorescent colouring to help find it if dropped on the bank.

    Nice and solid rig tools

    Really helps to have a suitable tool to help get hair rigs of the right length when you have fat fingers like mine. And this tool is just the job. Easy to set up and use and produces decent results every time. It feels nice and heavy and well made and has machined in grips where it needs them. The hook holder could be slightly thinner for smaller hooks but that’s a very minor gripe when the vast majority of the time it’s absolutely fine. The Tension bar is fine and also feels well made. The thinner prong doubles up as a handy knot picker too.

    Looks robust and better than it's predecessor, time will tell.

    I bought this hook tyer to replace my old stonfo hook tyer that gave up the ghost in me, the hook holder split, on looking at this it did look at bit more robust and was made of a different material, looked to be made of steel and not the aluminium that stonfo used, the only downside that I have found so far is when the hook tightening ring was cut they left a bit of sharp swarf on the ends of the cuts, this was easily filed off in a few minutes. At the cost of this if it only lasts one season then it is still worth buying.
