A little disappointing!
hmmm... It is a little disappointing! It is fiddly to fit into the cradle when using it, but more seriously: the battery doesn't last very long! Oh! - and you have to type the whole address rather than just a postcode. Oh! and finally: when typing an address it will sometimes not allow you to input numbers e.g. if you want (say) 45 such and such street, it will sometimes filt out one of the digits. not a very good sat nav
is is absolute rubbish it does not do routes correct sends you down single track roads routes you miles out the way to get to the destination the speed camera detection does not work and even though set up for miles / yards in the settings screen shows the speed cameras setting in kph and not mph also it seems to read the road speeds at times in miles per hour then goes into saying speeds in kph for the same roads. the warnings audio does not work i would give it less than 1 star don't waste your moneyVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

You would be lost workout it!
The screen is clear and using the FM connection with your radio the sound is great. It has taken me to places that would be hard to find with a map but you must keep your wits about you for dead end roads you cannot turn an artic in. The motorway junctions and it telling you which lane to be in is good. The only fault I can find is it does not tell you well in advance of approaching low bridges and they are not shown on the map either. I luckily was low enough to pass under a bridge on the south bank of the Clyde in Glasgow in a one way system altough the sat nav told me to proceed at my own risk. You will need a paperclip...
Plenty of features, lane guidance, speed indicator, etc. The screen does suffer from glare in direct sunlight, even with the visor fitted to it and that is irritating. Also, the device itself initially performs well, but I have found that it crashes at least once every two days. I get an error message displaying on screen and find it needs a reset by pressing the recessed switch on the rear, using a paperclip. The unit does have plenty of features which are useful but when driving and it lets you down by hanging, is not helpful when you most need it. I have taped a drawing pin to the reset switch so when it does go pear shaped, I just press that and do not have to pull over and push the reset button with a paperclip from the glove box (a pen nib won't fit). If whatever is causing this issue is resolved,it would be faultless- having read this back it sounds garbage, but it isn't!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good Truck satnav
I've used my Tom Tom for years and was very uneasy about changing however I would recommend using it the maps are are clear up to date however some routes I wouldn't take come up it does get used to your driving style but compact junctions can be awkward. I have bought 4 of the previous models, 704, 705 and they were similar format of the 715, but the voice control on the latest model is not as crisp. The speaker on the 715 sounds very distorted with any voice selected. It's a shame because generally this product has fantastic value for money and as a trucker, I rely on my satnav. Yet again this is a product that the manufacturer has been cutting corners on producing what was a great item into a disappointment. Nice Sat Nav. Tidy layout and works very quickly and efficiently
I have had a few Sat Nav's in the past decade and this is the fastest and most efficient yet. The device plays the mp3's via WiFi into the car stereo with great clarity and I have not found a fault in the mapping of anywhere....yet. Certainly very good around north west London and Buckinghamshire. Battery holds its charge well when it is switched off. Honestly I cannot fault it.
