Very good but room for improvement
Cleans the pool as advertised. Climbs walls very well. Seems it is programed to climb wall every 4th pass or so. Not sure of the wisdom in that. I love the lift feature. The caddy is very handy and would not recommend getting one without it. The remote is tricky to use. It is necessary to use the remote to lift for me because I generally cannot see the unit from the caddy location when plugged in. You cannot stand between the remote and the caddy. Learned this the hard way. Not sure why is doesn't use computer tech to plan a cleaning cycle, but if the simplicity means it lasts longer, ok with me. Just plan to run for 3 hours to cover the whole pool with the random nature of passes.

Wonderful product!
This pool cleaner works like a dream! It cleans hard to reach placer much better than expected. No problems with tangling cord if it is laid out according to the instructions. Very easy to use, well designed, and the filter is easily removed for cleaning. The motor is powerful and the carrier is easy to put together quickly with no tools. It has never turned over while cleaning. I should have gotten it last year when I had my Pool installed. It cleans much better than I could doing It manually. A breeze to assemble
I love this cleaner! I received my 9550 and had it assembled and in my pool cleaning in a half hour just using the quick setup guide. The debris basket is large and is very easy to take out and clean. The cleaner did a great job cleaning the pool with only a couple of small spots missed the first 1.5 hour clean cycle. When I used the lift feature it just crawled right up the wall so I could grab it and take it out of the pool with ease. In addition I would have to say that it is a much better looking machine than the other robotic cleaners I looked at also. The only negative that I could see is that it may be a bit heavy for my wife to lift out and carry around. Overall I am very happy with this cleaner.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A great product with a high price tag
This is a really good product and it does a great job in cleaning the pool. The only reason it is not 5 stars is because it is really expensive and that is something to consider when purchasing it. If you have an outdoor pool, you need a Polaris robotic pool vacuum
IMO, Polaris makes the best robotic pool vacs on the market. I have 2 Polaris P825s at other properties, and the new 9550 is even better. It simply is amazing what they can get done in 2 hours. Pool cleaner well done
I have used Polaris products for 25 years starting with the original mechanical model with booster pump and then to the robotic cleaner about five years ago. Easy to assemble and to operate. I also like the Lift function which permits removal of the unit from the pool much easier than the mechanical ones. The new version also has a remote so you can steer the unit manually and also go backwards. Well built and sturdy. My only complaint (at least as to my first robotic cleaner) was that I believe I should have gotten more years out of it--it lasted 5 seasons. It was over 1500 dollars. Perhaps it could have been repaired but the sense I had was that repairs were costly and there was no telling what would happen next. I just replaced it. However, compared to paying for weekly maintenance for my 20 X 40 in ground pool it is a bargain and requires minimal labor. Also, you can clean when needed.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good product - easy to use and clean.
Just purchased the Polaris 9550 and it does a good job so far. Had the product for three weeks and it cleans walls and floor pretty good, however, there are times it struggles to pick up large leaves and very fine unresolved chemicals. You need the ultra fine filter for fine particles, which doesn't come with the product. Considering the price - it should come with the device. Overall, so far I'm happy with the product.
