    Great rangefinder

Best rangefinder for the value. Very easy to use, fast and accurate. I previously owned several expensive rangefinders costing $400 to $500. This rangefinder almost as good as the expensive ones. If all you need is accurate yardage readings, get the Tec one. Why pay more.

    Inconsistent

I play about once a week, and mostly on courses that have very few yardage markers. Nice courses but I guess they assume most ppl carry these things nowadays. Anyway, I find that this rangefinder is only good when there aren't any objects behind the flag. If there are, you can forget about using it. I will get 5,10,sometimes 100 yard differences while trying to get the distance for the same shot. Moderately disappointed. I don't know if the higher priced models like bushnell can do a better job, but if you can afford one, that's probably your best best. Sorry tectectec, I really wanted to love this and I figured spending $150 would be sufficient.

  • The Good and the Bad

The price was Good and the Bad was I found it hard to it hit the flag and get an quick easy reading. My stolen bushnel v2 was much easier but it would cost another $100 or more. All in all I'll have to work on exactly where to hit the cross hairs to get an quick accurate reading. It's easier at closer range but over 100 yards becomes trial and error. I have to look at where the yardage makers are and then zero in on what the yardage should be.

  • Could be better

I just purchased the Tec Tec Tec and wished I would’ve read the reviews first. Around 180 + it’s very difficult to get an accurate read. Very hard to pick up the flag and pin. Wish I would’ve spent a few extra bucks and got something with a little more quality. Not worth the $150. Maybe a hundred, but that’s about it. Hope this helps you guys who are looking. It’s almost there, but still needs work. Good luck.

  • Good rangefinder with only one weakness

The rangefinder is small and practical, and I only have one issue with it; it's difficult to measure distance to a flag that is more than 100 yards away. The reason is that it's difficult to hold steady enough to get a lock. This gets progressively harder the longer the distance to the flag. My previous rangefinder was a Bushnell with pinseeker function, and that instantly found the flag. However, the TecTecTec is much more affordable, so I didn't really expect it to match Bushnell's performance.

  • Great product for the money.

Very easy to use. Very clear viewing area. I don't have to take off my glasses to see the target perfectly. Pin seeking feature is amazing. Even the case is excellent.

  • Difficult to get accurate distances

Maybe I got a bad one, but I find it extremely hard to get it to give me the correct distance. I have it in pin seeker mode but it usually gives me strange distances to whatever is in the background, or sometimes when there is nothing at all in the background. I have to make several tries to finally get the correct distance, and even then I'm not sure. It acts as if the pin seeker mode isn't even working, but when I turn pin seeker mode off it definitely doesn't work to hit a pin. My old MGGolf laser works great, but I just can't see the full field of view through it due to my glasses. A friend has a TecTecTec laser and likes it. I bought mine after noticing that I could see the entire field of view through his one day, even wearing eyeglasses. Now I wish I had saved my money and stuck with what I had.

  • Great Product. Five out of the ten guys I golf with own the same GPS.

I love how easy it to use. Like that you can turn eye piece to focus and see the flag clearly.

  • Great inexpensive range finder

Works great. Shows distance to flag, bunkers, and other golf course obstacles. Only tiny complaint is picks up bigger leafy trees behind the green when they are directly behind the pin.

  • Not very good

The rangefinder started working well in the beginning. Then it became really hard to pinpoint the distance to the flag. Just would not give a definite number and the numbers just kept changing constantly. I never dropped it or abused it, it's just that at this point I think it's just a low quality item. I went ahead and purchased a Bushnell on e-bay and have not had a problem ever since. I don't blame the seller. I just wish it would have been a better item.
