It is very hard to be positive that something is working if it is preventative? You don't know whether you needed it or not, or even if it slows down a progressive ailment? What I did was look at the research papers published. It convinced me that you are on a 'no lose' situation by using it. I give my dogs 1 tablet with their dinners just on the off chance it will slow down the spread of cancer, to which dogs are very likely to get. My six dogs are all over 12 , and one has an aggressive 'fatty tumour'. Tumeric reduced it, but I am hoping this this stop any further spread. If she reaches her 15th birthday in December she will have had two bonus years. I am a pensioner too, so I am happy to try this, having lost my brother to cancer several years ago. Read the research papers across many afflictions, and you will see in blind placebo tests, and they show silymarin made a noticeable difference. Silymarin is the key ingredient of these tablets. Stopped finger tips from cracking and splitting!
For some time I have had a problem with the ends of my fingers cracking and splitting, even when using handcreams, which gets very sore.
