A mighty powerful conditioner
I recently had a colour put on my hair and the hairdresser added in a Smartbond treatment. At the time this left my hair very silky indeed, but seemed to disappear after a few washes. This is the phase 3 smartbond home conditioner, designed to keep the effect topped up at home. I have used it a few times and find it has a very strong silkening effect, leaves my hair tangle free and soft. I have even had a few compliments lately! The effect lasts maybe two or three shampoos. I used it two days in a row once and found it was a little heavy, but this might suit some hair. (MIne is fine and brittle). The bottle suggests once a week and I'd say that was about right, using other conditioners in between. You do not need to use a large amount, so the bottle should last a long time. It smells pleasant, something along the lines of fabric softener. If you have birds-nesty hair which needs a lot of taming, I'd say this is definitely for you. For anyone else it is worth a go for the occasional deep treatment. UPDATE- Months later, still using it (with colour at the salon, and weekly at home) my hair is definitely different - smoother,silkier, floppier.
