Excellent video quality, excellent web access and great Hik-Connect mobile app
Did a lot of research before buying this - and very happy with the three main criteria for me - image quality is excellent (day & night), can be set up with a standard browser, and has a really excellent mobile app - Hik-Connect. A lot of expert reviewers said this turret style is the best for avoiding spider webs (bullet) or glare (dome). Also I looked at the different reviews for mobile access and Hik-Connect is really excellent - great real time footage as well as pictures taken from alerts. The browser access to the camera is excellent and although I have now purchased an NVR for 24/7 capture to this and extra cameras, initially all I had was this single camera connected to my home network using a PoE switch. Once on the network you can simply log into the camera's admin system and set up all the key features - such as the alerts for zone entry and line crossing etc. It mounts nicely onto soffits with just a single small hole for the cat 5e cable. All in all very pleased - only issue is that most of the alerting functionality seems unusable because of the deluge of false alarms. Takes a lot of experimentation to find settings that give you genuine alerts of people entering areas around your property.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
