Good balance of price / quality
Like other noise cancelling headphones these won't take out all background noise but do a good job of making watching a movie on a flight a pleasant experience. The inline cable switch will start and stop audio tracks but not adjust the volume. There is a separate volume control on the main battery block.

My evaluation
Excellent sound, one of the best I have ever tried. Will fit and stayl in my ears while moving. Why not 5 stars? The noise cancelling effect is there, it works, but the improvement it adds is totally insignificant. I tried it in many noisy places. The best results are taken by using the foam inserts that act like ear plugs and shield noise out. I would prefer these earphones without the electronics box and wait until the noise cancelling technology evolves to a beter level.

Great alternative to over-priced top brands
Have had Bose in the past. These are not quite as good but, for something that is inevitably going to break after a year or two - as all my previous N/C earbuds have irrespective of how much I paid for them - these do a more than decent job.
