Normal plug covers work great when the sockets are not in use. But our toddler would often unplug electrical items and try to re plug them in. Or flick things off during use such as our Mac. This has worked great he has no idea how to get to the plugs or switches despite good efforts. Fit was very easy, you probably should turn the power off but I just slightly loosened the screws on the socket to fit it. I also scraped and scored around the plug socket itself before unscrewing due to paint build up. Very quick, easy and useful.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

No hinges and it won't close when appliances plugged in!
There is no hinge attaching the cover to the frame. It's just a moulded plastic strip which, over time will become fatigued and the cover will break off. As I will be using this daily the moulded hinge will get lots of wear and I'm not expecting it to last very long. If this was redesigned with a proper hinge it would be excellent. Also, more worryingly the cover could not close when I had my appliances plugged in as the cover depth is too shallow! I'm amazed at all the positive reviews for this product as it's just not fit for purpose. I've spotted another product with such a hinge so I'm going to buy one of those instead. Not happy.

This item is brilliant for a child's bedroom, because you never know what they could get up to at night but this item gives you peace of mind that it won't be playing with the electrics or sockets! Easy enough for an adult to get into and by the time the child is old enough to get into the cover they will not be bothered about playing with it! For the price you can't go wrong! Sure you can buy socket plugs but doesn't take them long to get them out and they look at them like a challenge! Where as this they just see a wire running out and don't really bother because it's plain and boring and just does the job! This item is by far the best option for a socket cover ever! Great, practical and basic
PRO's: -3 year old twins havent sussed how to open them yet, have 2 in playroom and 1 in bedroom and never seen them try to open since they first tried (which means they do it when not being watched or have given up) -don't stand out -easy to open when you know how but take 2 hands generally so very good -CON's: -Could look better as are basic -more expensive thicker plastic and decorative options would be nice -colour ranges -wall socket needs to be loosened to do, some may not be confident to do safely. -wall sockets with this already part of could be a new product for a more permanent fitting. key locks for commercial areas or more peace of mind.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Really pleased with this. I have a 2 year old who loves flicking on & off the plug sockets. I liked this product as it completely covered the twin sockets. My 2 year old doesn’t even realise that the socket is there now. I also liked the fact that this product had two push in buttons so children do not open it. I’ve seen cheaper models, but do not offer the two button safety feature. In my opinion you need those two push in buttons. I have purchased more even for single sockets. The plastic seems good quality & not too thin. Easy to fit.
