An excellent features / cost balance
Having looked at various manufacturers and models I chose this one for an excellent features / cost balance. I was recommended to purchase a Canon and I particularly liked this model's up to 4800 x 1200 dpi print resolution, 2400 x 4800 dpi scanner resolution, and the use of six individual Ink Tanks (PGBK, BK, C, M, Y, PB). It was a breeze to set up and I have had no problems using it. It has lots of features some of which I may not use. I did use compatible inks on my last printer (Epson) but have decided to only use the original Canon ChromaLife100 inks on this printer. I did have ink / print quality problems on my previous printer. I don't print vast amounts.
