Mossberg 500's 590's, 590 Shockwaves can consistenly have the same grip and same lights

Performs as expected. I found an on line store(GGG) selling them for $120 per and free shipping until things run out. That deep groove on the front end of the forearm houses the light. For Mossberg 590 shockwaves that groove is awesome at preventing your hand from blocking the barrel (and blowing off fingers). Streamlight has trimmed the rear portion of the Shockwave grip to allow it to fit properly using your good grip strength and position. I have Mossberg branded 500's and 590's as well as Mossberg Maverick 88's. I'm putting the same light on all of them for continuity/training purposes.

  • Most critical review

Not bright at all. Cheap plastic.

Not even close to emitting 850 lumens with brand new batteries. I can't believe Streamlight even produced this hot pile of garbage. The TLR-1 with 600 lumens appears twice as bright as this WML, which would mean this expensive light is only emitting about 300 lumens. The construction was cheap and flimsy too. Unfortunately, Surefire has no affordable competition in the integrated forend light market.

  • Very bright and easy to install.

Easy to install, and the amount of light this produces is just what you'd expect from a brand like Streamlight. Tip: There is a spanner nut that you will need to loosen, and I am sure there is a tool for it, but you can easily do this with something like a metal ruler, as long as you remove the entire grip from the magazine tube of your shotgun. There are instructions in the Mossberg owners manual, and plenty of videos of people disassembling it online. Then you can insert the metal ruler across the spanner nut to loosen it. Don't over-tighten it when you assemble the TL-Racker onto the metal tube again.

  • Keep looking, Nothing to see here!

Don’t waste your money. This has to be Streamlight’s most inferior piece of equipment. Poorly engineered. Design evolves around two injection molded pieces of plastic that are held together with cheap Philip screws. Structural integregity is flimsy at best. May be appropriate for paint ball games, but certainly not worthy of a defensive shotgun you intend on protecting your family or home with. Flashlight produces the illumination it advertises. Nonetheless, I will not be keeping this unit around—it’s going straight in the trash.

  • In the End, TL Racker is worth it

Pros: Relatively easy install, quality part with above average construction. Nice ambidextrous, positive button acctuation. Cons: Looks kind of goofy, is kind of heavy

  • Flashlight slide 500/590

I appreciate the compactness of the flashlight, also the brightness level. It’s a great replacement over my old slide with the protruding beyond the barrel. And the light brightness was trash compared to the stream light of course

  • Fits Mossberg 590m but adapter forend nut is required and not included.

I put one on a Mossberg 590m model. It requires an adapter forenut from Hogue. It is because the 590m has a 6 3/4 forend tube and the Steamlight is made for the 7 and half forend. So add about $25.00 for the adapter and shipping. Streamlight would be wise to include this adpater and save headaches for buyers/installers. I did research and could not find the TL racker being installed on a 590m. Though I have seen some reviews where people sent back the product for this specific issue as there is no literature available from Streamlight indicating this is required on some models I am waiting on the adapter so I can comment on fit or function just yet. Will update when I get a chance to use it. The product is well made for what it is. The light is very luminous.

  • Good enough.

I have always used surefire weaponlights. I decided to try this one out because it is way cheaper. It is not bad. It isn't as good as the surefire lights, but it is like a third of the cost. Well worth the money.

  • Excellent accessory light! Does not fit Shockwave though...

Sturdy and well designed for this purpose. Made of a sufficient thickness for this material to assure a long, reliable life. A previous reviewer seemed think that it needs to be a solid, heavy, wood or metallic material to function for an extended period of time, I simply disagree. This is a design that my life will be depending on, but I won’t be using it to drive nails, or sink fence posts. I’ll update this if it cracks, or fails catastrophically in service. I sure wish that this was short enough for my Shockwave too.
