    Very Good Picture Quality

I live in the Boston area far away from the television towers. I had been using a highly rated floppy square antenna with mixed reviews. The stations would come in but would fade in and out and I was constantly having to fidget with it. I researched antennas and came to the conclusion this was the best option. I get the same number of stations but with much better clarity and minimal fading in and out. For that I am happy. I live on the first floor of an apartment building far from the towers and have to deal with downtown Boston interfering with the stations to the north and west. For all the interference in my path the stations I do get are much better quality than the flopping square antenna sold by the place named after a large river system in South America. I can live with the bulk as I will move next year and out of the reception interference zone. Interestingly, I get the best reception with the unit sitting on the floor away from the windows. Go figure --but it is Boston.

  • Most critical review

Worked for a couple of weeks...

I purchased this antenna because I had read tons of positive reviews on several sites. I live in a difficult area 30 miles from the main towers in Washington DC. I live on the first floor of an apartment building and an outdoor antenna is not an option. That said, I never expected to receive a bunch of channels. When I first set it up I received NBC and I was pleased with that because I could get local news and weather. Then it just stopped receiving any signal at all. I have repositioned it and rescanned for channels many times and even hooked it up to a newer tv with no luck.

  • Great Product for the Money

We are using the antenna indoors and it works well. As with all antennas, it takes time to locate the best spot to maximize channels. Be patient, use different length cables, and find the best spot in the room. We are in a condo so we can't mount it outdoors, but I imagine we would get even more stations if we could. When buying, keep in mind that where you live and where you place the antenna when you get it, dictates what stations you will receive. We are getting great, clear pictures on all the major networks and their substations: ABC, ME TV, ION, CW, CBS, Antenna TV, FOX, NBC, COZI, and 4-5 religious stations in English and Spanish. The stations all come in extremely clear. Unfortunately, in our location, no matter how hard I tried, I could not pick up a PBS station. If you don't already have cable to connect from your set to the antenna, make sure you buy one the length you need and be aware that placement of the cable also influences reception.

  • Good antenna.

This antenna has surpassed my expectations for sure. All channels are coming in clear. It is out performing my previous $250 Terk. The only complaint I have is that this refurbished unit has a broken plastic piece (still in the box). But it seemed like too much hassel to send it back. Delivery was late as well but eBay issued a $5 credit under the guaranteed delivery program. Over all I am pleased with the value and performance of this antenna which I had purchased based on the recommendation of an existing owner.

  • I mounted inside and had very few chanels so I moved it outside and got 40 crisp clear channels

light weight easy to set up, great value and range of 60+ miles is excellent. I would not recommend mounting it inside. I only got 15 instead of the 39 channels i now get.

  • This Antennas Direct ClearStream 2MAX indoor/outdoor antenna Outperforms all others!

Bought this Antennas Direct ClearStream 2MAX indoor/outdoor antenna on eBay from the reviews i read. as a previous owner of a cheap plastic/metal ringed motorized antenna that broke and a flat wall mounted amplified antenna, this one far outperforms. it was easy to setup with the instructions. i mounted the antenna & post on a 12" x 12" x 2" thick piece of cut wood as a base platform. it is in my attic rather than mounting it on an outside fascia board and having to go up on a ladder. i then installed my own coax cable less than 20' feet to the antenna and tv and downloaded the ANTENNA POINT app to my phone to aim the antenna to the tv station towers in my area, i went from 60 channels to 85 after doing the channel reset. i would say 95% of the channels found are working perfectly. this is a real good quality constructed antenna. very happy :)

  • Outstanding value, does MORE than advertised

This is my 3rd Clearstream Antenna. Ours, my mother-in-laws and my sister-in-laws. I installed each of them they are so easy. Range and picture quality is amazing. My in laws live around Lake Buffum 64 miles from Tampa. They pull in 50 Channels, most in HD. Much better than their $200 -$500 traditional antenna w/ a rotating control. Don't need one with this beauty. Just attach to antenna mast and go. Picture was so clear that we dropped our cable (saving $100 months with all the fees and rentals). For movies, we use Amazon Prime (which I already pay for)). Lots more PBS, EDU channels than the 2 cable "allowed" us to order. Initial set up was inside house to test unit (see picture). Set in living room window behind Gardenia Bush - 32 channels. Mounted on eve of house (2nd picture) - 54 excellent channels, many HD. I believe that is all the channels broadcast in our area according to internet map.

  • Good value for a working unit

The product came as described and on time, open package and not in the original box. The packing could have been a little better, but did not appear to be damaged. All the parts were there and there was some sign of previous use. I was very pleased that the unit worked great for my situation. I was able to get in more channels that I had originally expected. I didn't mind the light signs of use, since the blemishes wouldn't be visible within my installation. Over all, I am very please with the purchase and how the unit works.

  • Slightly above average

Received the antenna in a timely manner. It was very easy to hook up. Fortunately I had the cable from my old antenna to be able to use, as this does not come with one. I don’t get any additional channels, but the ones I do get, this antenna seems to hold their signal better. The farthest station I get is about 35 miles away and this antenna pulls that signal in just fine and holds it pretty good as well. I use it as an indoor antenna, but it can be used as an outdoor antenna as well and seems like it is sturdy enough to hold up just fine if I ever get a chance to use it outdoors.

  • My review of the Clearstream Max 2

The antenna was installed indoors on a tripod facing our local towers 15 miles away. An elevation lies between my tv and the towers. This antenna is much stronger than the flat antenna I had on my ceiling. However, my home is metal sided and the antenna should really go outside. There is still one set of channels I can't pick up but I think that, again, is due to it's location indoors. I may try my booster I bought from channel master several years ago which didn't help my other antenna. Anyway, its not perfect but much better than what I had. If you have a hill between your tv and the broadcast antenna find a way to elevate your antenna.
