Better than wired
Even if the wired fast charger charges faster, it has a lot connection problems. The wired fast charger that came with my Galaxy S8+ is faulty. It would not register as a fast charger, but sometimes, it will. I bought one of these for my desk at work and one for the hubby's desk too. Since it's been working so well, I'm buying another one of these at home. I'm ditching my wired charger for good. This is a fast charger model and will completely charge my Galaxy S7 Edge from 5% battery remaining to fully charged within 2-3 hours. It's a good simple wireless charger. It's able to switch from lying flat to standing up. It charges through phone cases as well. The wireless charger does charge slower than plugging a phone to a USB cable but I believe that's with all wireless chargers. So much easier to just set phone down on this wireless charger than constantly plugging in phone to charge...especially for those with severe arthritis. Seems authentic. Works great!
I was very suspicious after buying a couple of cheap knockoffs previously. I did notice right way that the package was previously opened. Only the wall charger had its plastic wrapping intact, which makes me think that part was new. The serial number on the device didn't match the box, but the model number did. Online checks vs known counterfeits (like the two I got before) showed this to be an authentic Samsung. I suspect these are working returned items.
