Great for begineers
I spent ages looking for my first lathe and i was very impressed with this one. Its sturdy but still needs to be bolted to a bench. The screw handles that hold the bits in place can get in each others way if working on something small but i just put a nut on one and this sorted that out. Good product for the price
Height of centres is 1mm out and had to be rectified by adding 1mm wedges to the underneath of the tailstock. Also had to use wedges on the right and left of the underside plates to prevent lateral movement as without them it was impossible to know if the centres had stayed square and plumb after the tailstock is moved.
