Can't go wrong with the Mini Mavic
This is indeed a great drone ! I started off with a toy drone very hard to control always had to keep adjusting to keep it in one place. But once you master that and get on one of these drones it's like heaven this drone can fly itself or almost . I tried it in my basement the first time and was able to fly it up the stairs no problem . You can let it hover in one spot put the controller down and leave it for 25 to 30 minutes won't move from that spot . Camera is also amazing video is so steady you won't believe it. It's also got GPS so you can follow on the map and lots more technology. Do your homework before you buy , check out others and I'm sure you'll be back looking at the mini Mavic , $599 is still a lot of money but well worth it .Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Great Seller Return To Home Not Effective
I had a test run with the dji mavic mini and it was my first time flying. I launched it from the fourth floor of my apartment and there were no winds. The drone unfortunately started moving towards the right side on its own as it kept going, I immediately pressed the return to home button as it took off on it’s own so that it would come back to me. Unfortunately it did not respond and kept swaying and flew away as I saw it going. The drone lost connection and eventually landed in a bush slightly far away from the apartment block. I tried tracking the find drone function by checking on the map but it wasn’t accurate. I scouted the area and found it. I hope future updates will fix this, the drone camera isn’t that clear and night visibility is completely shabby. Low cost, rich feature set, extremely compact... all in a very complete package
I've owned five or six drones over the years, but this is the best. It does everything my Phantom 3 did (well, except 2.7K video instead of 4K, but that's plenty good enough for me, and the stills are the same 12 megapixels) and more. But unlike my bigger drones, the Mavic Mini is super-compact and lightweight--easy to store and easy to carry. It's a pleasure to fly, as long as you don't try to buck winds above 10-15 mph. I usually fly in the early morning, when the light is best and the wind is low or nonexistent. I'm very happy with this drone, especially at the affordable price for the refurbished "Fly More" kit. The kit, by the way, looked and worked like a brand new unit--shrink-wrapped, with all accessories down to spare cables and joysticks. Great starter drone if you don't need the latest and greatest.
This is my first drone, and from all the research that I've done, it's a great starter drone. Very intuitive controls, the Fly More set is great, with 3 batteries to start, case, and controller. This was a refurb, but it must have been returned "brand new", as everything was new. What a blast! Can't wait to fly again. It's not the latest and greatest, nor does it have 4k video, but it's an incredible little 249 g drone that punches above its weight. At 249 g in weight, you're not required to register with the FAA. Refurbished = Awesome Deal
Bought a refurbed mavic mini fly more combo. The only way to honestly tell this is refurbished is because of a sticker put on the box. Otherwise this comes from DJI all individually wrapped like it is brand new. No issues out of the box. I have flown it several times now and it works great. I'll totally buy more refurbished stuff from DJI if I ever upgrade. The price point is hard to beat.

Small in size, Big on Performance
I was looking for a beginner's drone, but did not want to purchase a "toy". I saw many online reviews that suggested the Mavic Mini as the best drone for beginners. I was a little concerned about the small size, but it has earned my confidence. The controls are intuitive and it is very easy to control. After just a couple of flights, I had the confidence to go up to 350 feet and circle my entire neighborhood. The images are very sharp and the video at either 2.7k or 1080p are both quite clear. Everyone I show the images to remark at the clarity. All of the controls, range, batteries, etc have been excellent so far. I hum free bird while flying :)
Great little drone and by little I mean tiny., Think the size like tinkerbell but with the agility and power and smooth ride on Aladdin’s carpet.. Really great drone to take up and have a good flight as long as your not trying to make a high quality film., Great for family’s and possibly vlogs but no 4k cam.. I have had it up for 30+ mins and a easy 2ks distance away which is better than my P3..

Amazing drone under .55 lbs!
Really great drone. I'd that all you need are this and an Inspire 2, once you get the money. Don't bother with anything in between. Be sure to get ND filters! Favorite Feature - Pre-programmed moves like Helix, Circle, Dronie Worst Feature - Its super light, so it can struggle a little at high altitude on a windy day.
