Swapped out a factory sat nav in a 2015 Mk1 Tiguan, must have new quadlock connector for this year, messaged seller and correct one included. Screen size is a game changer as is the totally unlimited app capability like your phone. If you are in Europe the Dab radio is a must add-on you will need to buy, any dab usb tuner will work but the factory supplied aerial is useless. Bought an adapter and used the factory one, did the same for gps antenna. You do lose some mfd data but for what you gain its worth it. I also found when scanning my vehicle for faults through the obd port you will see an error because the VW factory unit was integrated into the software, this doesnt cause any issues but it will always show up so be aware. The panel that pops up showing heater settings etc is of no use at all. The user interface is very Asia centric, I installed the 'Vivid car launcher' and it looks great but thats a matter of personal preference. Would I buy one again?, definately. My original VW sat nav was the top spec model but by todays standards it was terrible, the tiny 6.5 screen and very limited and dated OS.Read full review
