Big, but some parts are difficult
This is a big model, and mostly well made. My only real criticism is that some of the small, detail parts ( pilot and Co-pilot seat frames) are very,very difficult to remove from the sprue without damage. The small links to the sprue are far too difficult to cut cleanly, making it necessary to repair then before assembly. The moulds need attention to correct this. Apart from this, the rest of the model has been ‘cast’ very cleanly, with almost no flask, and very precise joint lines between major parts, like fuselage halves and top and bottom wing sections. I’m only half way through the build, taking my time with the little sub-assemblies, but it looks like being a classy and sizeable model. If it turns out as good as I hope, I will seriously consider building the 1/32 model of the B17G to build into a representation of ‘Sally B’ at Duxford.
