'She was the bravest person I ever met' Lale Sokolov, The Tattooist of Auschwitz In 1942 Cilka Klein is just sixteen years old when she is taken to Auschwitz-Birkenau Concentration Camp. Great but heartbreaking read.

Heartbreaking subject but a book that must be read. I started with the Tatooist of Auschwitz, then Cilka's journey. I have 2 more in the series to read. Three Sisters and Stories of Hope. I am looking forward to them.

  • Most critical review

    An easy read, nothing special.

In terms of the storyline, the book is quite interesting, but it’s written in basic English, and, in my opinion, it has no literary value.
