  • Not as good as I remembered.

Trigan Empire was ground-breaking stuff in it’s day, but it hasn’t aged all that well. It was perhaps a pre-cursor to 2000ad, which came at a time when the constraints limiting the story-telling were lifted, so for that reason it should be given the full credit for what came after. I read Look and Learn as a child and was absolutely enthralled by Trigan Empire, but as an adult, 40 years on, I confess I am disappointed.

  • Each Volume getting smaller

I haven't read it yet but it arrived within the time specified and was well packaged. This second volume is smaller than the first although the RRP is the same. Literature I've read indicates volume 3 is smaller than 2 and volume 4 smaller than 3 although they're still the same RRP. That said the quality, storyline and art are superb so it's money well spent

  • Lovely trip down memory lane

Lovely trip down memory lane. Don't judge the comic by today's standards. It isn't politically correct, but then what can you expect from a tribe of travelling nomads that hunted with swords being jumped up to flying machines and sophisticated weaponry? The plots tend to repeat slightly the artwork is gorgeous!

  • Great tales

From the Golden Age of comics, Don Lawrence is similar to that of the great Eagle artists Bellamy and Hampson.
