Product Information

Barbara Stanwyck and Walter Huston go head-to-head in Anthony Mann’s ruthless western melodrama Sophisticated in its view of frontier settlement and ablaze with searing domestic drama, The Furies is an often-overlooked treasure of American filmmaking, boasting Oscar–nominated cinematography and vivid supporting turns from Judith Anderson, Wendell Corey, and Gilbert Roland. • A different sort of Western

This is a different sort of Western. Imagine McBeth done as an Oater and you would not be far off. While not near as good as Anthony Mann’ Westerns with Jimmy Stewart, it is enjoyable none the less. The acting for the two leads (Stanwyck and Houston) is especially strong. Though not a must see, watching it is still time well spent.
