Reviews"The year’s most enjoyably outlandish album -- one that mimics the seemingly limitless world of streaming.", "NOTES ON A CONDITIONAL FORM is The 1975 at their most wide-ranging, adventurous and incoherent, like a pan-genre playlist compiled by four late-twenty-somethings in the early 21st century. Here, the band lean into their interest in dance music...", 3 stars out of 5 -- "The 1975 prove themselves to be surprisingly efficient craftsmen....Leading from the album’s Greta Thunberg opener into the Nine Inch Nails-esque screamfest 'People' is a brilliant move on their part...", 5 stars out of 5 -- "The 1975 have somehow put out an album made for introspection and headphone listening and dancing around your living room, something deep and sprawling and occasionally silly to dig deep into over many listens...", "NOTES ON A CONDITIONAL FORM is lyrically playful and musically a step away from being confused for a compilation album of the best tracks this group has ever released.", "With NOACF, the four-piece broke their own rules for synth-pop excellence, pieced them back together, shredded them to bits again and gave us one of the best records of the year.", "It bounces all the way from shoegaze to punk rock to folk, the whole thing tied together by some of the group’s most immaculate production and slick songwriting to date."
I've got all the 1975 albums & this is the worst, couldn't make heads or tails of it & didn't even continue to listen to it all. Maybe a couple of tracks are good but wouldn't recommend even if your a fan.
