Reviews3 stars out of 5 - "...TIME allegedly concerned time travel, but Jeff Lynne would never surrender his humanity: even the hero of 'Ticket To The Moon' weeps as he leaves Earth..."
I listened to ELO in the late seventies and somehow this album passed me by. It was released late in their career in 1981 and I missed it.. Recently I heard a track on the internet and thought this is good sounds a bit like ELO but different? I found it was from the album Time - So I bought it - Time is a concept album where the singer is transported into the future and looks back on the 1980's with nostalgia. We are now in the future in 2020 and like the singer we too can now look back with the same nostalgia to the 1980's. Good songs, nicely quirky in places and the tracks anticipated many of the electronic new wave dance rhythms that came after the record was produced. All in all, a piece of real (forgotten) genius from Jeff Lynne.
I have the CD version of time back at mother's home so i know this a great album by the Electric Light Orchestra it's worth every gold bar in the world that's why i'm recommending to everyone to buy this on vinyl and added it to their vinyl collection
